It’s Tip Tuesday!
Today’s tip is to look left, right, and left again before crossing the street. We’ve all heard to “look both ways” before crossing, but did you know that you are supposed to look to the left again before crossing?
Looking left, right, and left again before crossing the street is an important safety measure. It helps you assess the traffic situation and make sure it's safe to proceed. By looking left first, you can check for any vehicles approaching from your left side. Looking right allows you to see if there are any vehicles approaching from the right side, and looking left again gives you one final check before stepping off the curb. This process helps you identify any oncoming traffic, including cars, bicycles, or motorcycles, and ensures you have enough time to safely cross the street. It's an essential habit to prevent accidents and protect yourself as a pedestrian.
